The GNWT Department of Infrastructure, Air, Marine, & Safety Division, is tendering the removal and replacement of one of the two existing accommodations (Asset 001310) at the N’dulee Ferry Camp located 84 kilometers north of Fort Simpson on NWT Highway 1. The following scope of work involves: Removal of chain link fence to provide access to the site. Removal of the existing accommodation unit and cribbing (to be hauled and offloaded at the GNWT Dory Point Compound located on the south side of the Mackenzie River on Highway 3). Gravel pad preparation (note: the existing gravel pad is well compacted and fairly level). Filling an abandoned shallow trench alongside the trailer, that formerly held a sewer pipe. Transport of the replacement accommodation unit from storage yard at 30 Industrial Drive, Hay River, NT to the project site. The approximate building size is 4.2m x 18.3 m (~77 sq.m). Situate and level the replacement accommodation unit onsite (steel skids can be placed directly on the gravel pad, no cribbing is required). Installing a new, Owner-supplied, 504-gallon sewage tank for the replacement unit (Note: tank is onsite.) Installation to include an anti-flotation wooden “raft” per GNWT detail, and installation of a high level float switch. Connecting the accommodations unit’s drainage piping to the new sewage tank, including heat trace & insulation. Connecting power to the replacement unit (existing power provided by genset and wired to the accommodation unit via underground conduit), Replace the chain link fence that was removed for site access.
