The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide biannual equipment inspections/preventative maintenance and on-call repair services for asphalt tanks and components owned by VDOT in Bedford and Franklin Counties, located within the Salem District. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Shonda Fowler at shonda.fowler@vdot.virginia.gov . The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Questions should be received by 5:00p.m. on September 2, 2023. PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide biannual equipment inspections/preventative maintenance and "on call" repair services for asphalt tanks and components owned by VDOT in Bedford and Franklin Counties, located within the Salem District, in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions contained herein. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: The initial term or period of the contract shall be for a one (1) year period with the effective date to be determined at time of award. (Renewable).
