Bids Shall Only Be Accepted From Contractors Who Are Licensed Under Louisiana Contractors Licensing Law. Contractors Required for This Project Shall Be Major Classification as General Contractors Only. General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Insurance Required - License Required The Contract Time shall be Three Hundred Sixty-Five (365) calendar days. Liquidated Damages shall be One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each consecutive calendar day that the Work is not completed beyond the Contract Time after the date of commencement of the Work fixed in the Notice to Proceed. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % Bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid (including any Alternates). Bid Security must be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check or a satisfactory bid bond written by a company with a current A. M. Best Rating of 'A-' (Excellent), Financial Size Category 'VII' with a 'Stable' Outlook and licensed in the State of Louisiana. Performance Bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount; and Payment Bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids with just cause. Bids which deviate from the Construction Documents will not be considered.
