Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of September 24, 2024 this project was awarded to R.J. Daigle & Sons Contractors, Inc. but the awarded amount is not available This project consists of road repair work throughout the City of Central as shown in the construction plans and as required by the City on various roadways throughout the City Limits. Construction work generally includes asphaltic concrete, base course, cold planing, pavement patching, temporary traffic control, and other necessary items as shown on the plans & specifications. A performance and payment bond for the work will be required upon execution of the contract, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of said contract written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana and who is currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service List. The bond shall be countersigned by a person who is under contract and who is licensed as an insurance agent in the State of Louisiana, and who is residing in this state. The bidding documents shall not require any bidder, other than the apparent low bidder, to furnish any other information or documentation, including the Attestation Affidavit, any sooner than ten days after the date bids are opened; however, the apparent low bidder may submit such information or documentation at any time prior to the expiration of the ten-day period. Bid submission details : All mailed or hand delivered bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked SEALED BID FOR 2024 CITY OF CENTRAL ROAD REHAB PROJECT, including Louisiana Contractors license number and Construction Firm name. All bids must be submitted in one of three ways: Hand Delivered, Mailed, or Electronic. For bids hand delivered to Central City Hall, 13421 Hooper Road, Suite 8, Central, LA 70818 by the bidder or his agent, a written receipt shall be handed to the deliverer. For bids submitted by mail, bids shall be sent by registered or certified mail with a return receipt requested, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the City of Central, 13421 Hooper Road, Suite 8, Central, LA 70818, and must be received no later than the bid opening. Bids will not be accepted on days that are recognized as holidays by the United States Postal Service. All bidders are required to have an active license for Highway, Street, And Bridge Construction from the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors prior to bidding this project. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All questions and/or request for clarifications must be electronically submitted to the project engineer, Jason Ellis via email to jason@novusreb.com by Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. No questions will be answered after the deadline for questions passes.
