Renovation of a military facility in Portsmouth, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Support Service is required to provide and install Telecommunications Cabling for Code 290 on the first and second floor of Building 32 located at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth, Virginia. Provide equipment and supplies for voice cabling, legacy network cabling, NMCI network cabling, fiber optic cabling, workstation outlets, Legacy and NMCI network equipment cabinets, voice tie cable and NMCI tie cable. SEE STATEMENT OF WORK WITHIN THE SOLICITATION Provide professional services to sample as needed for toxic metals (to include lead) and asbestos contaminates and remove as necessary based on sampling test results prior to commencement of work in the following locations: the area between the first and second floor where the penetration hole(s) are to be cut (room 139 and room 226) by the contractor to route the voice tie cable from the first floor to the second floor and the wall between room 127 and the open area (where cubicles are installed) where two penetration holes are to be cut by the contractor to route the Legacy and Fiber Optic cabling (one hole), and NMCI cabling (one hole). The contractor shall also determine the routing path and the length of the run for the NMCI tie cable from the NMCI cabinet in room 127 to the NMCI cabinet DC 1/3 in room 113 (controlled space) and to the NMCI cabinet DC 2/1 in room 214 (classified space). The contractor will need to field verify all measurements. Required completion date: 02/14/25.
