Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in American Canyon, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project consists of asphalt paving, ADA and other access improvements to the parking lot and trailhead on the Newell Open Space Preserve. Work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, storm water pollution prevention, traffic control, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveway approach, pedestrian crossings, ADA improvements, AB trail, asphalt paving, and striping on the Newell Open Space parking lot in American Canyon. The Engineer's Estimate for the Project is $330,000. No bid will be accepted from a bidder who is not licensed in the State of California as a Class A License, (licensed in accordance with the provisions of Division 3, Chapter 9, of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California). The successful Contractor will be required to furnish, with the Agreement, a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Agreement price and a Payment for Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Agreement price. The successful Contractor will be required to furnish, prior to issuance of a Notice of Completion, a Warrantee Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the final Agreement price. The successful Contractor shall also furnish Certificates of Insurance evidencing that all insurance coverage required by the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS has been so secured. PREVAILING WAGES Prevailing wages are required on this Contract. The ENGINEER of the California Department of Industrial Relations determines the general prevailing wage rates. BID SECURITY All Contract Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to the order of the City of American Canyon, amounting to ten per cent (10%) of the bid, or by a Bid Bond in said amount, on the form included within the Contract Proposal. Said check shall be forfeited, or said bond shall become payable, in case the Bidder depositing same does not complete the requirements as defined in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS in the time set forth herein. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities, and to award the contract to other than the lowest Bidder. No Bidder may withdraw their Contract Proposal for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined or obtained at the stated address herein. MANDATORY REGISTRATION PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS Contractors must comply with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) compliance monitoring unit and labor compliance program. Contractors are required to register before bidding on and entering into contracts for state and local public works projects. MANDATORY PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT The successful Contractor will be required to agree to be a party to and be bound by the City of American Canyon Project Labor Agreement (PLA) for this project.
