The work to be performed by the General Contractor consist of but is not limited to the following major items: Draining and lowering of lake as needed to complete the removal of accumulated silt and sediment along with the grading of sideslopes. Installation of erosion control BMPs. Traffic control. Lake drainage/groundwater control (pumping). Removal of silt and sediment. Grading of sideslopes and shoreline per contract drawings. Installation of grassing/mulch on areas disturbed by construction activity. Remove and reinstall fountain and plumbing including electrical. The silt, sediment, debris and soil removed from the site is to be take off the property by the contractor. All costs associated with the removed material including hauling and final disposition are the responsibility of the contractor. All work shall comply with all federal, state and local requirements and specifications. Intent of Project: The intent of the project is to remove silt, sediment, debris and soil that has accumulated within the Sandalwood Lake. The proposed new water surface elevation is +-1,006 with a proposed minimum depth of 4 feet. The contractor is to remove the silt, sediment, debris and soil in accordance with the contract drawings. The contractor is so include the removal of approximated 11,725 cubic yards of material in his base bid. Documentation that this is the amount that has been removed will be by comparison of the pre and post development topographic survey as prepared by a Registered Surveyor in the State of Georgia.
