2024 Road Maintenance The work for which bids are requested includes the following: Preparation and application of rubberized crack sealing, asphaltic surface maintenance sealing, along with post-application aggregate sweeping and disposal on approximately 102,000 SY of various roadways within the Town of Palmyra. . All necessary clarifications will be documented and issued through formal addenda. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond to the Town of Palmyra as a guarantee that if his/her bid is accepted, the contractor will execute and file the proper contract and bond within the time limited by the Town. If the successful bidder so files the contract and bond within the limited time, upon execution of the contract by the Town, the check shall be refunded. In case the contractor fails to file such contract or bond within the time limit, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the said Town of Palmyra as liquidated damages . The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Town of Palmyra, for a period of 45 days after the scheduled time of closing bids. The bidder is required to pay the employees upon this project the minimum wage rates as set forth in the "Specifications", which wage scale has been determined pursuant to the provision of 66.0903, Wisconsin Statutes. The letting of the work described is subject to the provisions of 66.0901, Wisconsin Statutes. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
