Request for bids to construct an outdoor educational shelter in Lynch's Woods Park. Funding is provided by a PARD grant. Newberry County has received a grant from the South Carolina Parks, Recreation & Tourism (PARD) to construct an outdoor educational shelter in Lynch's Woods Park, located at 228 Walter Cousins Road, Newberry (entrance is between the Newberry County Sheriff's Office and Cromley Ford) The award for the PARD grant is to construct a concrete pad and an outdoor shelter. Dimensions for the structure: o Construction of a covered, timber frame 16'W x 24'L x 10'H structure with a brown metal roof. o The concrete floor will be 4" reinforced o Frames will be made from treated lumber and treated 6" x 6" posts. o River rock will be placed around the base ofthe posts 48" high from the concrete floor. The construction ofthe shelter shall be completed, and billed, by the deadline of February 1, 2025 Questions or problems arising after award of this contract shall be directed to the Purchasing Director, P.O Box 156, Newberry, SC 29108, or by calling 803-321-2100.
