Reference Number 0000276373 Question Acceptance Deadline Aug 29, 2024 02:00 PM PDT Work of this Contract comprises of providing an accessibility upgrade to the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) office space on the second floor of the Oxford Building. The scope of work includes the following locations on the 2nd floor: Reception, Business Center, Boardroom, and LAN Room/ISOC & Kitchen. This includes the installation of automatic door operators and accessibility buttons for 3 existing doors, as well as the installation of a new card reader system for the same 3 doors. In the case of the LAN Room/ ISOC Kitchen, this install will involve modifying existing millwork and relocating wall-mounted items to provide sufficient clearance space. The scope of work also includes demolishing and creating a new reception desk/counter which includes the installation of a new automatic door and accessibility button which functions as the new reception gate. In the Boardroom a new locking door handle will need to be installed in lieu of the existing one on the Western wall. In the same room, a cane-detectable guard is designed in this room to protect users against the projector equipment protruding from the East wall. The proposed designs align with the standards set by CSA B651-18 National Standard of Canada. The supply and install of security equipment is to be designated by ISED security services provider Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
