Demolition, site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Nokomis, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Rehabilitation or replacement of six lift stations throughout the City of Nokomis. Work to include demolition of existing lift stations, temporary pumping, installation and connection of new package lift stations, replacement of control panels, piping, coatings, generators, concrete and ancillary equipment for a complete lift station system. All questions of a technical nature regarding the project will only be answered in writing by Addendum. Questions should be submitted to the Engineer no later than five (5) working days prior to the bid date. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Nokomis, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Attention is called to the fact that 1) not less than the Federal prevailing wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; 2) The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75; and 3) The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders must not be excluded from participating in any federal assistance program [24 CFR 85, Subpart C 85.35; 2 CFR 200.214]. The City of Nokomis reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Nokomis for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
