A Bid for Providing Labor and Equipment for Pick-up, Transportation and Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste and the Transportation, Disposal of Recyclable Material to a Facility Designated by the Waste Hauler. The Bid Pertains to Approximately 775 Residential Units Plus Any New Units Resulting From Construction or Modification Within the Borough of Walnutport for a Contract Term of Four (4) Years. Each Proposal Must Be Accompanied by Either a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, Payable to the Borough of Walnutport, in the Amount Often (10%) Percent of the First-year Lump-sum Price. Said Amount Shall Guarantee That in the Event the Contract is Awarded to Bidder, Such Party Will Execute the Contract in Good Faith. Checks or Bonds Will Be Returned to All Bidders Within Ten (10) Days After the Contract is Executed. All Bonds Must Be Executed by the Sureties Who Are Licensed to Contract Business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Must Be Accompanied by a Certified, Effectively Dated Copy of the Authority Act. For Each Year of the Contract a Performance Bond or Letter of Credit in the Amount of 100% of the Contract Amount for That Year Will Have to Be Provided by the Successful Bidder. The Average Municipal Solid Waste for the Prior Three (3) Years Are Approximately as Listed Below: 2021: 915 Tons Solid Waste. Recyclables, Single Stream is 119.20 Tons. 2022: 940 Tons of Solid Waste. Recyclables, Single Stream is 186.67 Tons. 2023: 955 Tons of Solid Waste. Recyclables, Single Stream is 174.70 Tons. The Borough Reserves the Right to Waive Any Information in the Bids Received, to Reject Any or All Bids, or to Award Any Contract as Deemed to Be in the Borough's Best Interest. Following the Opening of Bids, No Bid May Be Withdrawn for a Period of Forty-five (45) Days.
