Renovation of a municipal facility in Fairfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Town of Fairfield on behalf of its Department of Public Works is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the design and replacement of its current elevator system in the Old Town Hall building located at 611 Old Post Road, Fairfield, CT. The current elevator system is at the end of its useful life and will no longer be able to be maintained. A replacement is needed. The goals of this RFP include but are not limited to the design and installation of a replacement elevator system, the installation of a new elevator car, shaft modifications (if necessary), replacement of existing controls, hydraulics, pullies, cable systems, fire protection, safety systems or any other system required for the one-to-one replacement of the existing elevator. Contractors must follow any fire and elevator safety codes as applicable and remove of any parts or pieces that will not be reused. The budget, at a minimum, will include design, site work, utilities, and construction of a direct replacement of the current elevator system. The awarded Proposer will be required to obtain all permits required and supply all drawings and documents for Planning and Zoning, Building Department, and related agencies' approval. The awarded Proposer will also coordinate with all applicable utilities if required. Questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing and directed only to:Lee A.
