Site work for a water / sewer project in Port Edward, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of the demolition and removal of a pile and deck structure in Porpoise Harbour. The Work generally consists of the following elements: 1. Demolition and removal of the following: Deck structure and metal container within red boundary shown in Appendix 8 - Photo – A8-1. Piles (approximately 100 piles in total). Preference is to pull piles and not cut off at mudline if possible. 2. Disposal of all materials in accordance with the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy standards and regulations 3. Work to be performed from water side only. 4. Contractor to deploy a boom around work area. 5. Contractor to provide all necessary permits and insurances 6. Contractor to provide schedule and execution, safety and environmental management plan. Environmental Management plan to be prepared by a qualified professional with reference to Fisheries and Oceans Canada (“DFO”) guidance for Working Near Water. 7. All debris, including but not limited to residual cuttings and sawdust, must be captured above water. Any debris that enters the water must be skimmed and or water vacuumed. 8. All work to be performed outside of nesting and fisheries windows. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca
