The intent of this solicitation is to receive a proposal with a statement of qualifications (SOQ) from Contractors and a price to furnish and install new traffic signal as shown on the drawings and all the appurtenances related to provide an operational traffic signal. The PROJECT will consist of the construction of fully operational UDOT traffic signal located at 11400 South Andover Road (1500 West), South Jordan, UT, which includes but not limited to, installation of signal poles, mast arms, pole extensions, signal heads, luminaires, pole foundations, signal and pedestrian circuit, street lighting circuit, grounding system, detection devices, conduits, junction boxes, wire, control cabinet, meter base, removal of existing signs, pavement marking removal and new pavement markings. The contractor is expected to complete the work within 180 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. The City anticipates that a Notice to Proceed will be given in August 2024. The City reserves the right to change the dates as it seems necessary. Due to the specialized nature of the construction on the above named project, the need for a timely completion thereof and other related factors, contractors need to examine the RFP carefully to become thoroughly familiar with all conditions and requirements that may affect the work to be performed under the contract, including meeting with City staff to gain information and discussion projects. The City reserves the right to award this bid in full or in part. All inquiries and responses must be made online. No paper bids will be accepted.
