A pre-proposal meeting will not be held. Interviews will not be held for this project after the evaluation of proposals is completed. This project is recommended by the LRGPWWA Water Master Plan, and Bohannan Huston, Inc. is currently engaged under an LRGPWWA funded On-Call Task Order to prepare a Design Analysis Report PER and environmental clearance documents for for the project components in public ROW, and to acquire NM SLO and BLM ROW permits. PER and environmental documents may need to be expanded depending on funding sources for the project. The LRGPWWA has been allocated Congressionally Directed Spending to be applied for as a US EPA Community Grant, and a Water Trust Fund application is pending for the project. The goal of the project is to transition LRGPWWA's water sources out of the Mesilla Valley floor away from agricultural lands and onto the west mesa near Afton Road identified in the Well Siting Study of the LRGPWWA Water Master Plan in order to delay the impacts of LRGPWWA water pumping/usage on the Rio Grande in order to minimize conflicts with other water users. The Phase I Project will include construction of a new well and well-house, 14,100' of 8" water transmission pipeline along Afton Road, 10,500' of 10" water distribution pipeline along Afton Road, a new 20,000 gallon wellfield staging tank, electric service installation, SCADA equipment, and all necessary appurtenances. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
