Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Cambridge, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 14,000-square-foot, one-story above grade, 20-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

New single-storey building (approx. 14,000 SF), 20 residential units. Concrete foundations, structural steel framing, brick and metal cladding exterior walls. Construction of a single storey ~13,875 sq. ft. affordable residential facility for Community Living Cambridge on a property located at 162 Hespeler Road, in Cambridge. The project proposes the new construction of 20 supportive housing units at our existing campus for adults with developmental disabilities. This new building started with a vision of intensifying our existing campus operations and improve the living environment for 20 individuals who need supportive housing. The facility is energy efficient, delivers adequate unit sizes, provides for overall VisitAbility, is integrated into the community near transit and amenities. Construction services are to be provided to construct the new affordable residential facility. The new facility will be an infill among two existing operational buildings. Site staging, materials storage and operating an active construction site among existing operations are key considerations. The building will be Brick veneer and steel cladding with a 2-ply membrane roof. Structure is OWSJ joist and column structure with steel stud infill. The ground floor is insulated concrete slab with integrated hydronic heating on engineered soil. The foundation is to be concrete piers on trench and pour to depth of native soil. Energy efficiency features are a key feature of the funding program and note that the building is designed to achieve a 45% decrease in energy consumption and GHG emissions relative to the requirements of the 2017 National Energy Code for Buildings- Part 3 multi-unit buildings.
