SCOPE OF WORK 1. Preparation of Existing Stamped Concrete. The existing stamped concrete surface shall be thoroughly cleaned by power washing, degreasing. In addition, all gum and other foreign materials must be removed. All degreaser and other cleaning agents will be thoroughly rinsed from the surface before continuing to the antiquing stage. Take care to avoid overspray and dirt migration onto existing buildings and windows when power washing. 2. Protection of Surrounding Surfaces. All surrounding surfaces should be protected to prevent discoloration from the antiquing agent. All clean-up shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 3. Add On to Base Bid: Option A - Refreshing of Antique Coloring. Dampen concrete surface before applying antiquing material. Mix per manufacturer requirements. Typical mixing is to add 6 ounces (3/4 cup) of antiquing agent to 1 gallon of water. A 3 lb. container of antiquing should yield coverage of approximately 2,500 square yards. Antiquing is typically applied using a pump-up style sprayer or mixed in a 5-gallon bucket and distributed over the surface by pouring out and moving with a push broom. Antiquing agent is meant to flow into the low spots of the pattern and all grout lines.
