Webb House Rehabilitation. Bidders must submit, with their bids, a cashier's or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, payable without recourse to CITY OF COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS, or a Bid Bond in the same amount from a City approved Surety Company (according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of approval by the State Board of Insurance under 7.19-1 of the Texas Insurance Code) as guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within (10) days after award of contract to their company. Estimate: $80,000 Scope The City seeks a qualified Bidder to perform all construction, modifications, and supply all materials and equipment for the exterior rehabilitation of the Webb House, located at 408 Shelton Drive, Colleyville Texas, 76034. The project includes but is not limited to the following work: Carefully removing and reusing half-round gutters and downspouts. Carefully removing and reusing porch railings. Removing porch ceiling and flooring for all porches and disposal, replacing any rotten framing for support of new flooring. Remove existing siding in 4 phases and disposal. Installing Tyvek or equivalent style house wrap upon removal of existing siding. Install Hardie Cedar Mill 5.25" lap siding with 4" lap exposure in 4 phases. Install Hardie sheets and trim for porch ceilings Install synthetic porch flooring product (Trex or TimberTech product of suitable equivalent) Prep and paint all siding, trim, soffit, facia, and ceiling and apply 1 coat of primer and at least two coats of paint dependent upon manufacturer's recommendations. The City reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received, and/or to accept any portion of the offer if deemed in the best interest of the City.
