Backcountry Pump Station Pipeline Project The project site is located near 25101 Magic Mountain Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91355 and the public right-of-way on Magic Mountain Parkway between Tourney Road and the Iron Horse Trailhead. Please refer to the project's Contract Documents for a location map. The project generally consists of the installation of 1,600 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron pipe and 1,100 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron pipe, associated fittings and appurtenances within the public right-of-way. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, traffic control, trenching and shoring, potable water pipeline installation, disinfection, and asphalt repair, and all associated work ("Work") as indicated in the Contract Documents. The AGENCY shall award the contract for the Work to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined from the Base Bid Price. The AGENCY anticipates the Base Bid Price to range between $2,200,000 to $2,600,000. This estimate is intended to serve merely as a guideline of the magnitude of work. Neither the Bidders nor the Contractor shall be entitled to claims because of any inaccuracy in the estimated construction cost range All bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to the order of the AGENCY, or by a Bid Bond in favor of the AGENCY in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid Price. The Bid Guarantee must be received prior to the specified date and time for bid opening.
