Bids must be on forms furnished by the Borough Secretary and must be accompanied by a CERTIFIED CHECK OR BID BOND issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least Ten (10%) percent of the total price bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of One Hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, with a Corporate Surety approved by the Borough of Hulmeville. The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Borough of Hulmeville reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the bid which it deems, in its sole judgment, to be in the best interest of the Borough. No bidder may withdraw its bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening of the bids. ***Bid Event: The bids are to be submitted as described in "Instructions to Bidders", which may be obtained at the above location. Bids shall be sealed in an opaque envelope, addressed to the BOROUGH OF HULMEVILLE, and marked "SOLID WASTE CONTRACT, 2025". The bids should be mailed, or hand delivered, to the Office of the Secretary of Hulmeville Borough, Dorothy Omiestanski, 321 Main Street, Hulmeville, Pennsylvania, Pa. 19047, in sufficient time to ensure that the bids are received by the Borough prior to the bid due date and time.
