The Town of Mount Pleasant (Town) is requesting Bids from interested and qualified Bidders for repair services for the Town's Waterfront Park War Memorial fountain. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating and providing their work with the Town's Public Services Department and Facilities Division Chief as needed. Question Deadline 08/26/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Deadline to submit Questions Online Portal The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the solicitation, to negotiate with all qualified Bidders, to accept or reject any or all Bids received as a result of this Invitation, to cancel in part or in its entirety and to award or refrain from awarding the project to any Bidder, if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so. The commencement date shall be as agreed between the successful Bidder and the Town as indicated within the Purchase Order. All Work shall be completed no later than thirty (30) calendar days from reception of the Purchase Order. The scope is as follows: - Ensure that the substrate is free of any previously applied products and foreign matter. The fountain concrete must be completely clean of dirt, dust, debris and oils prior to installation. - Supply and apply a liquid rubber membrane to the substrate per manufacturers specifications. - Special consideration given to seal "waterstop areas" such as joints, expansion joints, piping penetrations, junction boxes and drains. - Supply material and patch and profile any joints, seams, cracks, holes and rough areas. - Remove and discard all existing weir coping from the fountain. - Supply and replace weir coping to match existing shape and color. - Supply and install underwater rated elastomeric caulking to joints. - All materials must be safe to use with chlorinated water. - Qualified bidders are required to be SC licensed contractors. - Qualified bidders will have at least 10 years' experience in fountain repairs.
