Question Deadline 09/16/2024 at 5:00 PM CT Construction of a new 4,650 square foot community center building with a meeting room, office, janitor closet, foyer, ADA restrooms and exterior canopy to be constructed in the City of Driscoll, Texas. The scope of work entails construction of concrete foundation, wood framing, lap siding, shingle roof, sidewalks and parking lot. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT New 2,000 square foot community center to be constructed on the property located at 206 N. Navarro Ave., in the City of Driscoll, TX. adjacent to the existing community center building. GENERAL The Project consists of: 1. 2. The foundation is reinforced concrete on grade. Exterior walls will consist of wood stud framing with plywood sheathing, cementitious lap siding, manufactured stone wainscot & sheet rock. The roof is composition shingle over plywood and wood framing. Interior walls will be sheet rock on wood studs. All ceilings are gypsum board. The plan provides for a Foyer, two (2) Restrooms, Janitor's Closet, Meeting Room and Office. The site will provide two (2) handicapped parking spots with additional standard parking spaces, and concrete sidewalks. AREAS AFFECTED BY WORK N/A ACCESSIBILITY It is intended that work of this Project comply with State and Federal requirements providing for accessibility to persons with disabilities. Dimensions given for clearances, heights, etc., are critical and must be carefully maintained A Bid Bond, either in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the largest amount bid must accompany each bid submittal. Upon Conditional Selection, the selected Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, as required by law, each in the amount of the full contract price, and each in the form promulgated by the County. Such bonds must be written by a company, or companies, acceptable to and approved by the County. The County will not accept a bond written by any company that does not meet all following requirements. The U.S. Department of Treasury will not extend its deadlines. All federally funded work/assignments must be completed and in full use on or before December 31, 2026.
