The Total Base Bid for each contract shall include all costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Contract Documents. The work to be bid upon is described as follows: Contract No. 1 - City of St. Albans MUC City Park 1.0 MG Water Storage Tank - The work consists of the construction of a 1,000,000- gallon glass fused to steel bolted water storage tank together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings. Contract No. 2 - City of St. Albans MUC 12Water Transmission Main - The work of this contract consists of the construction of approximately 5,000 L.F. of 12 PVC waterline, 1,700 L.F. of 8 PVC waterline, 120 L.F. of 6 PVC waterline, and 100 L.F. of 2 PVC waterline; gate valves; fire hydrants; meter reconnections; connections to existing lines together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings. Construction time limit for Contract No. 1 is 365 days. Construction time limit for Contract No. 2 is 365 days. All questions must be submitted in writing by 4:00 PM, on September 17, 2024, to allow for addenda, if needed. No questions after such date will be answered. Email all questions to Robert G. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to ensure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the St. Albans Municipal Utility Commission within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the St. Albans Municipal Utility Commission for the failure to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. The St. Albans Municipal Utility Commission reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids.
