The City of Compton is soliciting proposals for basketball court resurfacing services located at Burrell Park, Kelly Park, South Park, and Tragniew Park in the City of Compton. All submitted proposals will be reviewed and analyzed by City staff and the proposal which best
meets the City's needs will be selected for further analysis and negotiation. The City has basketball courts at Burrell, Kelly, South (2 courts), and Tragniew parks. The basketball courts have significant damage and require resurfacing/repair services to help prolong the life of the basketball courts within the City. The City is seeking basketball court resurfacing services, including but not limited to: o High pressure washing and sanding to achieve a uniform surface
o Crack Repair: Repair any cracks or other areas of concern on the court surface using USTA-approved methods and materials
o Apply a durable and weather-resistant paint specifically designed for basketball courts
o Use of high-quality equipment and techniques to ensure a professional and even finish
o Apply one (1) black sport master resurfacer coat mixed with #60 silica sand to provide a superior base for color coats
o Apply two (2) color coats mixed with #90 silica sand and stripe to specifications.
o Stripe play lines according to high school specifications, and lines to be textured acrylic line paint, unless otherwise specified. Masking tape to be laid and apply Sport Master Stripe Rite line primer to seal voids between masking tape and court surface, preventing "bleed under." The City of Compton proposes to enter into a Basketball Court Resurfacing Services Contract. The City of Compton reserves the right, in its sole discretion during this selection process, to reject

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this RFP. The City reserves the right to cancel in part, or in its entirety, this RFP. Reservation of Right
The City of Compton reserves the right to: (a) waive minor irregularities or variances, non-material bid formalities or defects in any proposal;
(b) reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, submitted in response to this RFP; (c) request clarifications from all proposing firms; (d) request resubmissions from all proposing firms; (e) make partial, progressive or multiple awards; and (f) withdraw or cancel this RFP without prior notice, at any time, at its sole discretion.
