Site work for a water / sewer project in Bowling Green, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work will consist of removing all the existing heating system's hot water piping, hot water unit heaters, fin-tube, etc. and replacing with new piping, fintube & equipment. Also included will be removing the existing split system serving the office space and replace with two separate mini splits. Minimal work is intended inside the mechanical/boiler room unless specifically identified on the documents, with the exception of the existing inline pump P-3.All work, unless noted otherwise, will be outside the mechanical room except isolating the water supply and draining the system. Bidders should include at least 25 gallons of corrosion inhibitor to be added when filling the newly replaced piping system. New controls for this project are limited to new wall mounted thermostats to control open/close valves for the office area fin-tube radiators as well as wall mounted thermostats to turn on/off the fans associated with each new unit heater. All existing heating system valves inside the boiler/mechanical room should be maintained as existing controls where applicable. The contractor will not be required to demolish or remove any existing pipe insulation for the hot water piping since this work has been awarded to an asbestos remediation company with work completed prior to the start of this project. The winning contractor for this project will be required to provide all new insulation for the hydronic system, including new pipe identification tagging. No domestic water systems are included in this project. The estimate of probable cost for this project is $243,000 All Requests for Information (RFI) and questions must be e-mailed to Greg Wright at gwright@dynamicmep.com by October 11, 2024 by 2:00 p.m. No substitutions are allowed unless there has been written approval prior to the bid due date. A copy of our RFI form is included in the specification manual and can also be found on the Wood County Website The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the Wood County Commissioners, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. If the contract is awarded a Contract Bond will be required, which is a one hundred percent (100%) payment and performance bond. Bidders shall submit with their bid the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Wood County, Ohio. Bidders shall submit with their bid the affidavit declaring that its principal officers, directors, shareholders and/or partners are current with any court-ordered child support payments pursuant to the Board of County Commissioners' Resolution No. 92-2041. All waste materials generated from this project must be taken to the Wood County Landfill for disposal. Contractor shall advise the Wood County Commissioners when the roll-off box is full. The Wood County Commissioners shall be responsible for all hauling and landfill costs and shall provide a roll-off box for this use. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration of the State of Ohio in accordance with all provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act of the State of Ohio, ORC Sections 4115.03 and 4115.16 and related requirements. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. The Board of County Commissioners may reject any or all of the bids. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of the bid that do not affect or destroy competitive bidding. In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to award the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
