Water Division Site and Building Pad for the City of Augusta The work is generally described as follows: Grading, Subgrade Preparation, Concrete Paving, Gravel Paving. The proposed project will be located at East 5 th Avenue and Grove Street in Augusta, Kansas. We understand the development will consist of a new maintenance yard for Augusta Public Works vehicles. The single-story structure will be a pre-engineered metal building with a concrete slab-ongrade floor. We estimate the structure will have maximum column and continuous wall loads on the order of 60 kips and 2 kips per linear foot, respectively. We anticipate that the pavement will support predominately heavy maintenance vehicles such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, trash trucks, and motor graders.
