03-124212 Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to: Installation of District Provided Playground Equipment and Shade Shelter at Ontiveros Elementary School All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in to the District through PlanetBids. Questions that are not submitted through PlanetBids will not be considered or responded to. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the District in response to such questions will be issued through PlanetBids. Questions must be received by the "last day for questions date" as establish and posted on PlanetBids. Only answers to Bidders' questions that have been posted on PlanetBids by the District by means of formal written Addenda from the District will be valid and binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. All questions regarding this solicitation shall be directed through electronically. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid bond by a guaranty company authorized to conduct business in the State of California, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the sum of the total amount of the bid, including any options. All Bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California to do the type of work contemplated in the Project. The successful bidder shall possess a valid Contractor's License issued by the Contractor's State License Board at the time the contract is awarded. The class of contractor's license shall be an "A, B" or other CSLB applicable license. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract before commencement of work and conforming to the contract documents as well as furnish and maintain proof of Commercial General Liability Insurance, Workers' Compensation Insurance, and all other insurance or certifications as required by the contract documents. The Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work for the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract. Copies of schedules of rates so determined are available online. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. In bidding on this project, it shall be the Bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
