ESTIMATED COST: $199,600.00 LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Roofing Contractor SCOPE OF WORK: CONTRACTOR shall comply with Resolution No. R-54-18 Cool Roofs, which require the utilization of Cool Roofs for all new construction, roofing maintenance, and re-roofing work where the surface material is replaced on County owned properties. Such roofing material shall be US EPA Energy Star Cool Roof Rating Council (ESCRRC) Certified. 1. CONTRACTOR shall review all documents, specifications, plans and scope of work provided by the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Construction & Maintenance Division Project Manager for work to be completed. 2. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials required to provide the complete removal and disposal of the existing Roofing system, and replacement of new TPO roof system. 2.1. Scope of work applies for the application of a TPO roof system to areas as applies will be installed per manufacture's specifications to specific roof conditions. The scope of work applies for the new installation of product approved TPO roof system to include deck specific preferred assembly. TPO system must include membrane (smooth), fasteners, insulations, flute filler (If metal deck) and air vapor retardant if needed. Contractors shall use whichever manufacture TPO Systems so long as the system carries 30-year manufacturer warranty. 2.2. Tear off existing roof down to decking as required (concrete, lightweight, wood, metal), removal of all components of existing roofing system, remove and dispose of all existing asbestos containing roof material as per action plan. Roofing materials to be correctly disposed per action plan. 2.3. Contractor shall inspect existing deck upon completion of roofing system removal and make appropriate accommodations to properly install new TPO System. 2.4. Contractor shall inspect existing deck upon completion of roofing system removal, repair/replace any areas of damage due to removal and/or failed roof system as required to match existing conditions (contractor shall apply approved bonding agent as applies to repairs for light weight and/or insulation). 2.5. The contractor shall provide tapered insulation, can't strips and/or crickets to insure positive drainage with scuppers reworked where needed to insure proper drainage of water from roof. The contractor is responsible for the replacement of and or installation of new drains if required by the building department. All flashings, flashing procedures and other waterproofing measures to be as recommended by the product manufacturer of the systems being utilized. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Bidder or Bidder's Subcontractor shall have completed at least two (2) projects of similar size and scope; in lieu of the references from the Bidder or Bidder's Subcontractor, the County will consider the references from Bidder's key personnel in accordance with Resolution No. R-1122-21. Bidder shall provide evidence of this experience; project names; dollar values and contract information for verification purposes. The experience of the bidding or proposing Contractors' key personnel will be considered in assessing the Contractor's experience. This information should be entered on form 00450 Bidder's Statement of Qualifications and Business References, highlighting at least two comparable projects and using additional pages as needed.
