Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Norcross, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The City of Norcross is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified vendors for the construction of improvements at the Johnson Dean Preserve. The Work includes but is not limited to the construction of a new driveway, pavilion/restroom building, parking lot, concrete paving, drainage improvements, utility improvements, retaining wall, fencing, electrical improvements, bioswales and ornamental landscaping. Location address: 145 N. Barton Street Norcross GA 30071 The Work consists of the following: 1. The Work includes but is not limited to the construction of a new driveway, pavilion/restroom building, parking lot, concrete paving, drainage improvements, utility improvements, retaining wall, fencing, electrical improvements, bioswales and ornamental landscaping. Proposals must include labor and all materials as specified; no substitutions for materials are allowed unless approved by City of Norcross. Mobilization/Demobilization : Includes establishing job site, construction entrance, silt fencing, and tree fencing based on ESC plans for the duration of the job and mobilization and restoration after the project. Park Improvement Installation : Installation of site improvements to include: construction of a new driveway, parking lot, concrete paving, drainage improvements, utility improvements, retaining wall, fencing, electrical improvements, bioswales and ornamental landscaping. Parking lot lighting and a kit pavilion/restroom buildings will be an add alternative for the project work. Question Deadline 09/06/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Please submit questions/requests via e-mail only to the Capital Projects Manager at procurement@norcrossga.net No proposal will be received or accepted after the above specified date and time. Submissions received after the designated date and time will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the firm. No proposal may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the proposal opening and all proposals shall remain firm during this period. Requests for withdrawals must be submitted in writing. If the cost proposal amount is greater than $30,000.00, then proposal must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the cost amount per section. Failure to submit a bid bond will be a cause for rejection. The City of Norcross reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities or to re-advertise. It is understood that all proposals are made subject to this agreement, and that the City of Norcross reserves the right to decide which proposals it deems the most qualified and lowest cost. In arriving at this decision, full consideration will be given to the experience and qualifications of the Proposer, their financial responsibility, costs and proposal amount, work of this type successfully completed and past performance with the City of Norcross. The City of Norcross reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Prior to execution of a contract, if the contract amount is greater than $30,000.00, a Contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract amount per section, must be provided by the successful proposer by a surety company qualified to do business in the State of Georgia with an AM Best rating of B+ or higher and satisfactory to the City of Norcross. Bonds given shall meet the requirements as listed in this RFP. LOCATION AND SITE(S): 1 .The site(s) of the proposed work is within City limits of the City of Norcross, Georgia. 2 .The Contractor shall accept the site(s) in its present condition and carry out all work in accordance with the requirements of the specifications as indicated in the appendices or as directed by the Department of Public Works, Utilities and Parks. 3 .The Contractor, before submitting a proposal is encouraged to visit the site(s) and acquaint themselves with the actual conditions and the location of any and/or all obstructions that may exist on the site(s). 4 .The Contractor is responsible for the location of, above and below ground utilities and structures, which may be affected by the work.
