The City of Norcross is seeking sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for the installation of approximately 42 gravel surface pervious parking spaces fronting Britt Avenue below the Community Center, located at 10 College St. Norcross, GA 30071. The vacant property has no street address, but is identified as Gwinnett County Tax Parcel 6243 001. Anticipated award date will be March 2025. All work must be completed in 120 days from when Notice to Proceed is issued and in accordance with industry specifications and standards. Please submit questions/requests via e-mail only to the Capital Projects Manager at procurement@norcrossga.net by 5:00 p.m. on October 25, 2024. A Q&A addendum will be posted within a week. No BID will be received or accepted after the above specified date and time. Submissions received after the designated date and time will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the firm. No BID may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the BID opening. Requests for withdrawals must be submitted in writing. All BIDS shall remain firm for 120 days after bid opening. PROJECT SCOPE Construct a temporary overflow parking lot for the City of Norcross. The parking lot will consist of a paved apron and entrance. The majority of the parking lot will be constructed of a proprietary, permeable gravel system. No new structures or buildings are proposed. The proposed site work includes: - clearing and grading - temporary and permanent erosion control measures - concrete and gravel paving - minor storm conveyance A stream exists on the project site. There are no proposed impacts to the stream Or buffers (city or state buffers). Approved variance (24-6935) to provide relief from parking lot landscape requirements and to permit gravel paving.
