The Project consists of installation of one new standby generator and replacement of an existing generator at the South Lagoon Wastewater Treatment Facility, and purchasing a trailer mounted generator that can be use at the three system pumping stations and installing receptacles and transfer switches at those stations compatible with the generator. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or Bid will not be received or considered by the Owner. The Bidder shall show evidence by including its current license number during registration and clearly displaying on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the Bid is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The Owner further reserves the right to negotiate price and time with the low bidder. Document info : Bidding Documents also may be examined at the Abbeville City Hall, 101 E. Washington St., Abbeville, AL 36310, on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., local time. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will receive a refund less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution for documents returned in good condition within the time limit. No Bidding Documents will be issued within 72 hours of the scheduled date and time of the Bid Opening. The work of this contract consists of furnishing and installing three emergency generators: two (2) at the Abbeville South Lagoon Wastewater Treatment Facility and one (1) Portable Trailer Mounted Generator for use at the three remote system pumping stations. Also included in the work is the installation of receptacles and manual transfer switches at the three remote system stations, and certain preparatory work at the South Lagoon to fully integrate the two new generators to be installed there. B. The existing generator at the South Lagoon to be replaced is to be removed under this contract and delivered to the City Shop.
