Bidders are responsible for reproduction of Bid Documents, curbside pickup or can be shipped upon request (each Plan Holder is responsible for their own shipping fees). A bid guaranty is required per Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.54, either certified check representing ten percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to Western Reserve Port Authority, or a bid bond in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Western Reserve Port Authority, in the manner provided by law. Per ORC 153.571, a performance/payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required after the award of the contract. Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such Corporation is licensed to do business in Ohio. The contractor and all subcontractors for this project must be enrolled in the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Drug Free Workplace Program or in a similar program approved by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. This project is being funded with State of Ohio dollars. The contractor and their subcontractors shall comply with the appropriate minimum prevailing wages set forth by the State of Ohio Industrial Relations Division. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin. The Western Reserve Port Authority shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A. Scope of Work: This project entails the performance of the following work: 1. Warranty: a. Total Roof System Warranty: Warranty shall include membrane, roof insulation, membrane accessories, metal edging and the workmanship to install these materials. b. 20-year Leak Warranty, 20-year Puncture / Hail Warranty, and 90 mph Wind Warranty (Total System Warranty). c. Limit of liability: No Dollar Limitation of coverage: Repair any leak in the EPDM Roofing System caused by the ordinary wear and tear of the elements, punctures due to rooftop service, traffic, and maintenance, and the workmanship used to install these materials. Additionally, warranty to cover repair of damage as a result of hail stones up to 2" in diameter. 3. Other Work as indicated in the Contract Documents, but not necessarily described above.
