The City of Statesboro is seeking bids for the replacement of 2300 linear ft. of 6 inch water main along Broad St. which will connect to water mains along adjoining streets and 44 water meters. The project will include the removal and replacement of pavement sections and installation of new asphaltic concrete. The project has an expected duration of 180 days. The Project includes the following Work: Installation of approximately 2,300 linear feet (LF) of 6-inch water main pipe along Broad Street. The water main will connect to existing water mains along East Jones Avenue, East Grady Street, East Cherry Street and Savannah Avenue. Cap existing 2-inch water main along Broad Street and abandon in place. Installation of water service laterals and make connection to 44 existing water meters. Removal and replacement of existing pavement sections impacted by construction activities. Installation of a new asphaltic concrete overlay along Broad Street. Miscellaneous task such as excavation, backfilling, traffic control, and any other necessary work to complete the project.
