Glen Oak Avenue Resurfacing & Ada Improvements The proposed improvement consists of resurfacing approximately 1,445 feet of Glen Oak Avenue, from east of Berkeley Avenue to west of Pennsylvania Avenue. Additional improvements consist of replacing deteriorated sections of curb and gutter, PCC sidewalk, and storm sewer inlets; installation of ADA curb ramps; removal of an existing traffic signal; installation of one light pole and a new solar-powered RRFB system; signage and pavement markings; restoration, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All work shall be in compliance with specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract . The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals CONTRACT TIME The work shall be completed and ready for final payment by December 20, 2024 based on a Notice to Proceed date not later than October 14, 2024. All roadway resurfacing shall be complete and open to traffic by November 22, 2024 as an interim completion date.
