Site work for a swimming pool in Sanford, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a swimming pool.
Base Bid-Meter Pool Painting and Leak Repair Pool Draining: o Coordinate with local officials on pool draining. (Chlorine should be less than 1ppm prior to draining) o Drain Pool (A hose and pump will be needed to remove remaining water in and around main drains when filtration pump loses prime.) Pool Surface Preparation: o Pressure wash existing pool surface removing as much dirt and debris as possible (Pressure wash with minimum 4000 psi pressure washer) o If more than 25% of the existing painted surface is removed during pressure washing, it is recommended to completely remove existing painted surface. o Lightly acid wash the existing pool surface. Acid should be aggregated with broom/brush (1g:5g acid to water ratio always mixing acid with water) o Rinse pool with TSP (trisodium phosphate) solution to neutralize acid o Drain water o Check pool walls and floors for cracks, if cracks are more than 1/4 " wide and or deep contact owner for review. o Check pool coping for cracks and advise owner of any issues. o If there are any areas in the existing surface that are greater than 1/2" deep or rough in texture, they should be repaired at this time prior to painting. o Surface Repair Rinse area clean. Use hydraulic cement (white) or like material to repair area. Allow to dry before painting per manufacturers recommendations. o Make sure pool surface is completely dry o Make sure pool surface is clean of dirt and debris before painting. Redo Pool Expansion Joints in meter pool - Caulking to be Pecora GC2+ or equal o Provide all material submittals to Lee County Government prior to beginning work Expansion Joint: o Should not be used on joints less than 0.25" or bigger than joints over 1" o The depth should not exceed one half the width or 0.5" o Color will be dark grey o Check with Lee County Government on final color approval Surface Preparation o Remove all existing caulk material from joint o Grind both sides of joint to create new unused surface. o Clean joint of all dirt and debris Installation - Normal Caulking tools can be used o Use of P53VOC primer or equal is recommended before installation of Pecora GC2+. Provide material submittal to Lee County Government prior to beginning work. o Place backer rod to control the depth and create a uniform joint depth. o Mix Part B thoroughly before adding part A o Add part A to part B and mix for 6 minutes or until the mixture is blended evenly. o Apply to expansion joint. o Tooling is recommended. (Dry Tooling) o Allow caulk to fully cure before submerging in water. (7 days depending on temperatures) o Any caulking should be fully cured before painting. All pool repair work must meet Lee County Environmental Health final pool inspection specifications and any Local, State and Federal building inspection codes prior to opening and all work must be completed within 60 days of notice to proceed unless expressly agreed to by the County due to outside circumstances Lee County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part of a bid and to waive the informalities & technicalities in the bidding procedure.
