Gjoa Haven existing distribution system is comprised of two feeders F1 and F2. Feeder 1 feeds major part of the town while Feeder 2 feeds part of the town plus the Uptown area heading towards the Water Treatment Plant and Airport installations. The purpose of this project is to upgrade certain sections of the existing distribution feeders F1 and F2 bringing them up to acceptable industry standards. Upgrading 1 Ph line to 3 Ph for phase load balance at certain locations. Re-routing line sections at some locations to manage long spans. Raising cables at few locations to manage low sag. Replacing end-of-life or damaged pole mount distribution transformers Upgrading 1 Ph and 3 Ph transformer to larger sizes as well upgrading transformers to larger sizes wherever needed. Re-conductoring of overhead line cables from #2 AWG to 1/0 AWG AASC. Taking outages, wherever applicable, commissioning, upgrading and energization of the installations. Transfer of existing infrastructure to new poles. Removal of decommissioned poles and structure
