Site work and paving for a civil project in Millburn, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Scope of Work shall include, but not be limited to: drainage improvements totaling approximately 750 linear feet at the following three (3) project site locations; Minnisink Road, Wittkop Place, and South Terrace. The work generally consists of installation of new drainage inlets and manholes, approximately 650 linear feet of 12" and 15" reinforced concrete pipe, 90 linear feet of 24" reinforced concrete pipe, new concrete headwall and riprap stone channel protection, including roadway restoration of the excavated trenches, consisting of pipe backfill, 6" thick dense graded aggregate base course, 4" thick hot mix asphalt 19M64 base course, and 2" thick, hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course, and/or other incidental construction as shown or indicated on the plans and/or as described in the Specifications. Additionally, the road improvements project includes curb work, no milling/paving, on two (2) streets. The term of Contract for the Work shall be for a period anticipated to commence upon the Owner's issuance of a Notice to Proceed to the Contractor.\ A certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid, as specified by the Bid submitted by the Bidder, but not in excess of $20,000.00 whichever is lower, must be submitted with the bid as a guarantee that if a contract is awarded by the Township, the Successful Bidder shall execute the Contract required by the Contract Documents. Where the Contract Documents so require, a Consent of Surety in the amount equal to 100% of the bid shall also be required. The surety or sureties issuing any Bid Bond and/or Consent of Surety as required by the Contract Documents shall be licensed and/or authorized to transact business in the State of New Jersey and shall be acceptable to the Township. Contractor shall be required to comply with the requirements of the Law Against Discrimination, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et.seq. and the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Rules set forth at N.J.A.C. 17:27-1, et.seq. and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 42 U.S.C. 12.101 et.seq., as applicable. Additionally, a copy of the Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, for the Bidder and subcontractors must be submitted prior to award of the Contract in conformance with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44. The Successful Bidder, as that term is defined in the Contract, shall be required to comply with all provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11_56.25. et.seq, as applicable, and all other Applicable Laws. Bids shall be accompanied by all information requested in the Contract Documents and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Township Clerk, bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and designated as follows: The Township expressly reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive informalities in accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
