The Project includes the following Work: Approximately 1,200 lineal feet of PVC water main varying in size from 6-inch to 8-inch including hydrants, tees, bends, and necessary appurtenances. Water main will be installed along STH 59 from Partridge St to Sherman St and along Wisconsin St from STH 59 to a point approximately 275 lineal feet south of STH 59. The project also includes, but is not limited, to asphalt patching, base aggregate, restoration, traffic control and erosion control. The construction completion dates for STH 59 Water Main Relay will vary depending on which bid alternate is awarded. Bid Alt A: Anticipated substantial completion date of December 20, 2024 and final completion date of May 1, 2025. Bid Alt B: Anticipated substantial completion date of May 9, 2025 and final completion date of May 23, 2025. Instructions to Bidders. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by local wage rates.
