The purpose of this project is as follows: The City of New Richmond Utilities is seeking a utilities contractor to install HDPE innerduct on a number Electric Department projects. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and equipment for the safe and efficient installation of the underground facilities Bid shall also include adequate traffic control and warning signage provided and set up daily by the contractor. Contractor shall provide all required Personal Protective Equipment worn by persons working on site (in accordance with the ANSI standards). The purpose of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to solicit proposals from various organizations, conduct a fair and extensive evaluation based on criteria listed herein, and select the candidate who best fulfills the needs of the City of New Richmond. The City of New Richmond reserves the right to modify and waive any and all informalities or technicalities, or to reject any and all bids and/or parts thereof, and to accept that bid which it deems most favorable for the City. September 9, 2024 - Possible award by City Council The City and the contractor will negotiate a specific schedule for the project; however, completion of the project must be completed prior to December 31, 2024. Questions for the city should be gathered into one email communication from the prospective bidder and submitted to the Electric Superintendent: Weston Arndt (warndt@newrichmondwi.gov). All inquiries must be received by Thursday, August 22, 2024. The contract resulting from the award of this RFP shall commence upon execution of a signed notice of award and proof of insurance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, or to accept the proposal deemed to serve the City's best interest.
