Site work and paving for a civil project in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.

The project includes the construction of a new sewer lift station and the construction of new sanitary sewer line. The new sewer lift station will be constructed at the corner of Cottonwood Road and Pacheco Road; and the sanitary sewer line will be constructed started from the lift station heading north as a force main and terminating as a new sanitary sewer gravity line that will terminate near the wastewater treatment plant. Other items of work includes trenching, bracing, shoring, installation of various size sewer lines ranging from 8-inches to 30-inches, construction of new manholes and cleanouts, roadway rehabilitation, block wall, wet well, pumps, electrical, mechanical and various appurtenances to make a fully operational sewer lift station and sanitary sewer lines. Note: This project has both a Base Bid and Additive Alternates. The Base Bid includes work associated with the gravity sewer line from the intersection of White Lane at Cottonwood Road to the Wastewater Treatment Plant #2; Additive Alternate No. 1 is work associated with the force main line from the Lift Station at Pacheco Road at Cottonwood to the intersection of White Lane at Cottonwood Road; and Additive Alternate No. 2 is the work associated with the construction of the Lift Station located at the corner of Pacheco Road at Cottonwood Road. The lowest apparent bidder will be determined by who submitted the lowest base bid. Contractors will be required to submit bids for the base bid additive alternates; however, the additive alternates may or may not be awarded depending on available funding.
