The project shall include the design and construction of elevated aluminum grandstands and press box for the Lee County High School Baseball field. The work shall include design, engineering, permitting, and all labor, materials and services required for this facility. The facility will include elevated grandstands capable of accommodating approximately 500 spectators, elevated press box with bleacher access, steps, ramps, and rails. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump-sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after time, and date of opening. Each proposal shall be accompanied with a BID BOND (Bond only; certified checks or other forms are not acceptable) in an amount equal to 5% of the base bid, payable to the OWNER and issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, in order to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract to construct the project strictly within the terms and conditions stated in this bid and in the bidding and Contract Documents, should the construction contract be awarded to him. The successful proposer shall be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance on the contract and a bond to secure payment of all claims for materials furnished and/or labor performed in performance of the project, both in amounts equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Both bonds shall be issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business with the State of Georgia. All bids submitted shall remain open for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities.
