The project is the construction of water and sanitary sewer improvements located in Lee County, Georgia for the Lee County Utilities Authority. The project generally consists of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to construct approximately 2,438 l.f. of 8" and 10" water main, 4 fire hydrants, water valves, 2,330 l.f. of 10" sanitary sewer main, 6 sanitary sewer manholes and all appurtenances A bid bond shall be required in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. A Contract Performance Bond and a Materials and Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder. All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the commencement of the Contract Time as defined in the General Conditions of the Contract. Question Deadline 05/29/2024 at 12:00 PM ET The final day any questions will be accepted. All anticipated rights-of-way and easements will be obtained by the Owner for construction associated with this project. No submitted proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. The LEE COUNTY UTILITIES AUTHORITY, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any formality or technicality and to award the Proposal as may be in the best interest of the Owner, or readvertise for bids. The Owner may issue change orders altering the original scope of work to address changes or unforeseen conditions necessary for the project completion. Work included: 1. Wherever possible throughout the Contract Documents, the minimum acceptable quality of workmanship and materials has been defined either by manufacturer's name and catalog number or by reference to recognized industry standards. 2. To ensure that the specified products are furnished and installed in accordance with design intent, procedures have been established for advance submittal of design data and for its review and approval or rejection by the Engineer. 3. A sample submittal form is included at the end of this section for the Contractors use.
