Site work for a water / sewer project in Rockford, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Proposed construction improvements include: replacement of existing lead water service lines on both the public and private side of the right-of-way. Public replacements will run from the water main to the right-of-way and private replacements will run from the right-of-way line to the meter connection point. Bids may be held by the City of Rockford for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids. Last day for questions is January 24, 2025, by 12:00 pm. Questions regarding this Bid/RFP shall be addressed to: Dajana Glisic -dajana.glisic@rockfordil.gov The City of Rockford reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The City reserves the right to reject bids should IEPA loan dollars not be granted. Project Description: Lead Water Service Line Replacement for residential homes in Rockford, Illinois. This work will consist of approximately 576 Replacements through either open-cut trenching operations or directional boring of the water service line. Existing lines are to be abandoned in place upon successful connection of newly installed pipe.
