LOCATION OF THE WORK All work under this Contract will be performed within the Borough of Wilmerding, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. 2. DRAWINGS The following drawings are to be included herein and made an integral part of the Contract Documents. Plan Sheets 1-8, and Typical Inlet Details (These Drawings are bound within these documents and follow this Scope of Work). 3. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The work under this project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required for the performance of all reconstruction as indicated on the Contract Documents. The work essentially includes, but is not limited to: Remove existing Inlet. Saw cut existing asphalt and/or concrete sidewalks for removal and replacement of Inlet. Install new Inlet and connection of existing storm sewer as shown on Plans. ABCDE E. Install section of new sidewalk if required. The completion of all required restoration, paving, landscaping, and any other such related and required work. F. All other such related and required work as indicated on the Contract Drawings or contained elsewhere in these Contract Documents. Budget: $50,000 All excavation shall be unclassified and no extra payment will be made for rock, boulders, shale, timbers, logs, old foundations, old street car tracks, masonry or other natural or artificial materials encountered in the trenching operations except as may be noted in the Engineering Specifications. The Contractor shall make personal examination of the locations in which the pipelines are to be constructed to determine for himself the extent of the rock that may be encountered. The Contractor acknowledges there may not be sufficient time to perform pre-bid borings to determine the nature of the subsurface conditions and that the Contractor may have to rely on its visual inspection of the site when making a determination as to the character of the subsurface conditions. No information regarding subsurface conditions along the routes of the pipelines will be given by the owner. The Contractor shall assume all risks associated with the composition of the subsurface materials and the ease or difficulty of excavation. The Contractor shall not at any time claim a misunderstanding regarding the depth or character of the excavation to be made or in the nature of the materials to be encountered. Contractor shall be aware that there may be conflicting utilities within work area that do not get located by one-call. Glenn Engineering does not guarantee that there will be no conflict with the with the proposed construction. There will be no extra compensation for extra work required to remove obstacles in conflict with proposed construction. This work with all related appurtenances shall be performed at the locations as designated and detailed on the Contract Drawings and as further detailed in the Contract Documents. The Bidder shall submit the Unit Price Bids as set forth in the Proposal and herein described in detail. Failure to do so shall be sufficient grounds for the rejection of the entire bid. The Contractor, under Unit Price Bids shall submit unit prices for the performance of all work as shown on the Contract Plans and specified in the Contract Documents, all as intended or reasonably to be inferred therefrom as necessary to complete the work, including the furnishing of materials, necessary tools and equipment, and all utility and transportation services, and including the providing of all such other work and services as required for the performance of the project. The Contractor shall be paid for the actual quantity of items furnished and installed in accordance with the applicable Unit Prices submitted.
