Site work for a civil project in Greene Township, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the replacement of the existing Smilax Road Lift Station and force main with a new sanitary lift station, approximately 4,400 feet of 24-inch diameter forcemain, manholes, sewer appurtenances, site work, restoration, and demolition of existing facilities. The project is located on the west side of Smilax Road, beginning approximately 920 feet north of the intersection of Smilax Road and Edison Road. Said bids must be accompanied with a Certified Check made payable to St. Joseph County, Indiana or Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company in a sum of not less than ten percent [10%] of the total amount of the bid, together with a non-collusive affidavit as prescribed in Form 96, Revised 2013. The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish separate Payment, Performance, and Maintenance Bonds before commencing work. The Payment and Performance Bond shall each remain in effect throughout the entire construction period in an amount equal to the awarded Contract Amount. The required Maintenance Bond shall remain in effect for a period of five years from the date of final acceptance in an amount of 10 percent [10%] of the awarded Contract Amount. The bidder's attention is directed to the Affirmative Action Requirements and the Insurance Provisions of the Project. Bidder experience requirements are included in the Project Manual related to lift station and force main installation. The Redevelopment Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the one which, in its judgment will be to the best interest of St. Joseph County, Indiana. The Redevelopment Commission also reserves the right to hold Bids up to 60 calendar days from the receipt of the Bid. Question Deadline Sep 04, 2024 at 12:00 PM Responsible Bidders may obtain a set of and/or sets of the Contract Documents, Special Provisions, and/or Plans, if applicable, for this Project at online. Bidders must mail in a check for the non-refundable fee of $50.00 to the St. Joseph County Auditor, Second Floor, County-City Building, South Bend, Indiana 46601, to be considered as a responsible bidder. Make any and all checks payable to the St. Joseph County Auditor's Office.
