The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is for Pierce County to secure the services of a qualified general contractor with expertise of all phases of construction to perform a variety of facility modification projects, repairs and other construction projects in court facilities, general office buildings, and correctional facilities throughout Pierce County. The General Construction Services include, but are not limited to, carpentry, millwork, framing, drywall, doors, windows, caulking, hardware, demolition, excavation, ceilings, masonry, etc. Question Submission Deadline:September 4, 2024, 4:00pm The work will be assigned by Pierce County using Work Orders, addressing the scope of work and the required time of completion, and will be based upon a specific written quote from the Contractor for each job; written quote must be received and approved prior to any work being done. Work shall be performed in accordance with national, state, and local, listed classification codes. Contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local regulations when performing any work under the resulting contract. Specifically, but not by way of limitation, Contractor must comply with Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 39.12 Prevailing Wages on Public Projects. The qualified general contractor shall offer expertise across all construction phases to undertake a variety of facility modification projects, repairs and other construction projects in court facilities, general office buildings, and correctional facilities throughout Pierce County.
