**As of November 4, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. City will enter into a Private-Public Partnership to develop and submit a proposal for the development and operation of a new Lake County Convention Center. The City of Gary is seeking a private development partner with whom to enter into a Private-Public Partnership agreement to develop a proposal for the development and operation of a new Lake County Convention Center and hotel in Gary. The conference center and hotel would meet the needs of local and regional businesses, associations, public entities, and non-profits for event space, and serve as an economic generator.
