The objective of the project is to provide contingency-based as-needed replacement of sections of existing sewer pipelines on short notice at locations to be determined within the City and County of San Francisco. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The project involves specialty work scopes, including but not limited to lining side sewers with UV Cured Liner and 12-inch, 15-inch, and 18-inch diameter main sewers with cured-in-place pipe liner ("CIPP") and installation of HDPE for side sewers and the main sewer by trenchless pipe-bursting installation method. Additionally, this contract scope of work is almost identical to WW-748, which also had an established LBE requirement of 8%. SFPUC-LBEs cannot be counted towards meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). A Class "A" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 8.00%. If a Bidder objects on any ground to any bid specification or legal requirement imposed by this Advertisement for Bids, the Bidder shall, no later than the 10th working day prior to the date of Bid opening, provide written notice to the Manager, Contract Administration Bureau, setting forth with specificity the grounds for the objection.
