The Awarded Bidder shall furnish, at its expense, labor, supervisors, equipment, machinery, tools, materials, transportation, and other services necessary to fully complete the cleaning and/or flame-retardant treatment of curtains on an as needed basis. 1.04.1 Curtain Cleaning (Stage and CCTV): a. Before the cleaning of curtains, Awarded Bidder shall make minor repairs; any repairs that will require additional charges shall have prior written approval from the School Board Authorized Representative or his/her designee before repairs are made. Minor repairs are not limited to and do not exceed the following repair items: o One (1) Rip or separation of not more than 12 inches o One (1) Hole no more than 1 inch in diameter o Replacement of any missing grommet hooks b. The School District would prefer that the curtains be cleaned and treated in place using methods that do not require the removal or re-hanging of curtains. However if your cleaning/treatment process requires the drapes to be removed from the tracks, this would be allowed as long as the curtains do not leave the campus and are properly re-hung. If the curtains are damaged during removal or while being taken to the cleaning location/truck, it is the responsibility of the vendor to make all repairs at no additional charge to the District. Also, if for any reason the curtains fall after being re-hung, it is also the responsibility of the vendor to return to the school within 48 hours and re-hang the curtains at no additional charge to the District. c. All Curtains are to be cleaned on both sides, surface dust to be removed with industrial extractor and afterwards be treated with drapery cleaner and re-extracted. Cleaning chemicals that are used shall not cause any shrinking or color fading. d. Material stains are to be pre-spotted. e. All drapery track hardware shall be inspected for minor damage, cleaned, and lubricated. Missing grommet hooks must be replaced. Awarded Bidder shall make minor repairs. Repairs that require an additional charge shall have prior written approval from a District Representative before repairs are made. 1.04.2 Flame Retardant Treatment (Stage and CCTV): a. Fabrics must be cleaned prior to treatment (see section 1.04.1 for curtain cleaning). The successful Bidder(s) shall be awarded a contract for an initial three (3) year term, with one (1) subsequent, one year renewal period. The award term recommendation will be that which is determined to be in the best interest of the School Board. All renewals will be contingent upon mutual written agreement and, when applicable, approval of School Board. This Bid will start on December 1, 2024.
